Hello, I am writing this on behalf of my friend.

He is currently having an issue involving his computer, his headset, and Stereo Mix. He has a Plantronics Gamecom 380 (which uses the input/output jacks as opposed to USB), and is having an issue where when he uses his push-to-talk key in Teamspeak 3, all of his computer sound (including the voices of other people in the channel) will play over the channel, alongside his voice.

We have noticed some odd occurrences, such as when he mutes his mic using the physical switch on the headset itself, his voice is muted but his PC sound is not. We have also noticed that although he has set the microphone as the default device in his Windows settings, and as the input device in Teamspeak, the audio from his PC still plays.

It is as if his computer does not know how to differentiate between the sound output it is producing (through programs, games, music etc) and the input from his microphone (but that doesn't explain the physical switch oddity). I am at the end of my limited tech support capabilities and we need some help in order to fix this problem.

I will provide additional details if you need me to.

Thanks.
