WaterCooling Is Solid Acrylic Tubing Worth It?

I am doing a major overhaul on my PC and I am wondering if I would want to dive into solid tubing or just stick with you average soft tubing? I've heard some advantages of it, but I've never run into any issues with soft tubing. Is it just for looks?

Flex tubing is easier too work with but doesn't look as good and can degrade faster. For a first time watercooler i'd say flex tubing but it sounds like you've watercooled before so, go for it!

Solid tubing has no practical advantage over soft, its pretty much just an aesthetic choice.
Yup, you need a heat gun to mold acrylic tubing. Fittings I'm not sure on TBH.
