Hi, I just installed a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo in my computer. I have an ASUS M5a97 motherboard, and I'm running an AMD Fx 4100. I noticed that, since the installation, a red light would turn on when I boot my computer. However, the light goes away and everything seems to work fine. Is this something I should be concerned about? The light shows up next to my ram. Thanks for your help!

On most MoBos. it just means its checking the RAM and if it stays on that means it's not OK.

Now of that wasn't happening before, it's possible that you tightened the 212 too much and it warped the board causing an iffy circuit connection between CPU and memory slots .... I had someone bring a puter in one day and light was on and puter wouldn't boot .... all I did was back off the center screw a half turn and light went off.

No.
If the led goes out it means your memory is OK.
If it stays lit ,then you have a memory problem and need to use the mem ok button to reduce timings to get the computer to boot to bios.

Thanks so much guys, you've given me some peace of mind. I did try backing off the screws, but it didn't change anything. I've spent tons of time reading stuff on this forum; you seem to be some of the most informed guys on the internet when it comes to this stuff. :D  I appreciate all the answers!
