I can't fix the .NET framework 3.5 error.

My computer recently crashed and I had to reformat my hard drive and re-install Windows 8.1. Now I am getting the .NET framework 3.5 error message. (Error code: 0x800F0906) This had never happened before my computer crashed. I tried many different solutions on the internet but none of them worked. When I tried some solutions through cmd, I would get another, different error. (Error code: 0x0800f081f) This is a big problem because I am not able to program my mouse's buttons without fixing this. (my RTS games have become quite difficult now haha)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you tried reinstalling it, right?

Do you mean windows 8 pro. That is what I have. I searched on the internet for solutions specifically for windows 8.1 pro, but none of them worked.

I think that when you install Windows 8.1pro 4.5NET framework comes with it... So I guess that's the reason why you can't install 3.5 NET Framework since you already have newer version of it.

The problem is that I need that older version so that some of my applications can work. Do you think it is possible to downgrade?

I think it is not since it always gives some kind of error... that's one and only thing I found that is bad on windows 8.1 pro, had the same problem few months ago couldn't use some app because of that so I gave up...
