So I have a custom built PC that I think is being bottlenecked and I would like some help from experienced members for their input on where the bottleneck is.

My rig:
Motherboard: Asus A5M97 Evo
CPU: AMD FX6100
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660
RAM: 16g of 1600 DDR3
Storage: 500gb HDD (just purchased a 500gb SSD to replace the HHD)(not yet installed)
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

I mostly use this setup for gaming, on most recent games I get decent fps on high graphics. My problem is that when I play arma 2 and dayz I get sub 30 fps on moderate graphics. Also in Arma 3 I get barely 18 fps on the lowest settings. Is there anything I can do to improve my performance with my current rig or should I consider upgrading parts?

If I need to upgrade I would either be getting a GeForce GTX 780 or a AMD FX-8350

The AMD FX6100 does not bottlenect the GTX 660.

As for DayZ, this game is not well optimized yet as it's still in its early access stages, even high end rigs also have problems playing the game. For ARMA 3, there is a possibility that your graphics card might be struggling.

May I mind asking, what's your PSU?

As for your question, there's no bottleneck on your specs.

Upgrading to the GTX780 and FX8350 is a great choice and you'll see a very big leap of performance.
