I Was sleeving my psu cables and unfortunately seems to pull to hard on it or something cause now it looks like abit of the silver wire pulled out. its still attached though.

Pic Quality aint to good but its right at the bottom right of the pin where i can see abit of the silver wire. its still in the pin as well though. I threw some electrical tape around it to seal it up but now im worried to test it cause i font want to fry anything. Any one know if this will still work fine? Thanks for any help. If you need more info ill try my best to put some better pics and explain it alittle better.

As long as the connector, metal connector that is, is attached properly then you will be fine as long as the exposed wire can not touch any other metal surface. The electrical tape will prevent this. JUst be sure the metal connector is securely attached to the wire and you will be fine.

EDIT: the plastic coating over the wires is just an insulator to prevent the wire from touching another electrical conductive surface along with preventing electric from jumping to a different surface. The electrical tape will prevent both of these things from happening.

It is used all the time in homes and automotive to do the same exact thing so you will be fine.

Thanks for the input. The cord i had was one that came with my corsair cx750m PSU. My graphics card needs an 8Pin and 6Pin connection, what would be the best replacement cable for it? or would any suffice?

Why were you sleeving the cables on a CX750? the cables come presleeved on those psu's. You can contact corsair and order new cables if you really want to replace the cable. But being an Auto mechanic and dealing with PC's for over 20 years as well I would tug at the connector, metal connector to be sure it is attached tightly, then put a thin strip of electrical tape over the exposed portion of the wire which will mostly be concealed by the hard plastic PCI-e connector end. Insert it into the PCI-e connector end and tug again to be sure it is securely attached and you will be fine.

If you want extra reassurance you can also solder the wire into the connector to be sure it will not come out then add the electrical tape.
