3 Monitor Set Up Question

Hi all,

I had been using a 3 monitor set up with 3 identical Dell 23 inch 1080p models connected to my GTX 780Ti. I have only been using the centre monitor though for gaming or visual stuff so decided to upgrade to a larger higher res centre screen. I now have the 2560x1440 Asus PG278Q ROG and I want to have it as the centre screen for gaming and 2 of the Dells on either side for browsers/apps etc.

Is it a simple task to have screens set up in this manner with different resolutions? I haven't tried connecting anything up yet as I was keen to get a feel for things on the forums before I do something wrong. Just to clarify I don't want to have gaming stretched across all 3 screens - I have experimented with this on and off in my current set up and have decided I just want the main screen dedicated to gaming.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

James

Solution
Just go to your nvidia settings panel or right click on nvidia icon in taskbar, where you setup multiple monitor options.
You will see the monitors attached (maybe as Display1/Display2/Display3),
from there, Display Settings
then options to select for ;
single display
clone
horizontal span
vertical span
dualview
triview

It is the dual/tri-view options you want to select monitors as individual displays rather than stretching(span)

Thank you Chris - I will try that. Just to double check, that will still allow me to move my mouse cursor across the screens for example? Appreciate that it may jump when moving between the different resolutions but want to be able to move stuff around over all 3 if I need to.

Thanks
