Fx6300 Overclocking help

Solution
Just a slight change to what Alpha said, I would recommend jumping the CPU multiplier up by 2 each time, only because it will help get to the end a lot faster. Then drop down 1 after it crashes until stable.

If you are really new at overclocking, I would leave it at that also and do more reading before changing voltage that way you are sure to be as careful as possible and know what will happen better to avoid problems.

Install Prime 95

Go to BIOS

Increase Frequency Multiplier (in CPU menu) by one

Stress test (Prime 95, Torture)

Repeat until crash

Increase Voltage by 0.01

Repeat until Dangerous Voltage, High temperatures or you are satisfied.

I suggest OC'ing your GPU also (Using Furmark or MSI Kombuster usually works) but post your specs please.

Hint: Dropping your CPU cache from 1:1 of CPU multiplier to 1:2 usually helps, and so does dropping the frequency of the RAM. Same for Memory Clock for GPU Overclock
