I need a good psu for about $150, hopefully less.
I have a 4790k, 16gb ram, gtx 779, 8 case fanes, 1 hdd, cm hyper 212 evo, Asus z97 AR.

Both are full modular which is awesome.

PSUs are something you never want to cheap out on.. Pay more and be protected.

What about anything from Thermaltake?

Thermaltake is decent. But honestly, like i said you need to go with reliable brands. Both Corsair and Seasonic are well known and trusted in PSUs. I wouldn't recommend buying anything else. I've build many rigs and always used Corsair/seasonic and never had any issues!

Choose what you want. Just my opinion.

Seasonic also makes XFX psu-s and they are a bit cheaper than seasonic

... also Rosewills capstone 750w psu turned out to be really good quality as well
