gigabyte superb 720w

Hi all!

I'm planning to build a new gaming rig and They are exactly:

mobo: asrock z97 pro 4
memory: transcend 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K
HDD: wd 2TB 7200rpm 64MB SATA3
Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X
i have a gigabyte superb 720w psu .i cant buy new psu right now. will the system work with that psu ? i used that psu in my previous system.

actually i am confused i am going to buy that config bt i dont have luxry to buy another psu right now and if i have to then i cant buy r9 290 !!! my previous cpu was fx 4100 with 7870 2gb oc edition

Gigabyte power supplies are generally trash. They are rated at peak power and not continuous output like a quality brand would be. I would not use one with a power hungry R9 290 card. ( I really wouldn't use one at all to be honest! )

Don't get me wrong I have used Gigabyte motherboards in my personal builds since the early 2000s and will continue to do so. Some companies should stick to what they do best though like Gigabyte, Coolermaster and Thermaltake. Great products from all 3 companies except power supplies.
