Video/HDMI input devices?

Hi,
I have been wondering, what devices other than the tv have video/hdmi input (to connect devices like ps3, cable box)? Any portable devices? I heard that a capture card can be used to display xbox 360's on laptop. But is it good enough to play on it?

Hdmi to vga adapter for $2-$5 on amazon/newegg. straight from China, 2 week delivery. similar solution for audio, get an rca to 3.5mm adapter, same cheap price. Settings in ps3 let you choose audio output device.
