So a few days ago I was messing around with my start up programs, to make my computer boot a little faster, but when I restarted my computer and was doing other things such as installing the latest drivers for my nvidia GTX 670M an error came up saying that there was no card detected....I've tried completely resetting my PC (full wipe) and resetting the BIOS and it's still not showing up in device manager and can't install drivers/the NVIDIA control panel. This has stumped me, I've been searching everywhere for an answer and can't find one at all please help, I don't want to crack open my laptop just yet to see if anything is messes up there, but I'm getting to that point.

Key word was laptop.

Anyway, I think you are going to have to crack it open and if possible reseat the GPU. Has it recieved any knocks or drops while you were doing this work?

If this is not possible, as the card is soldered in place, I would say the card has died and if the laptop is under warranty send it back.

I haven't dropped it a single time, it barley even moves from my desk. Currently...I was installing all the essential updates for windows and I got caught in a "windows cannot update error" loop...so I managed to enter the BIOS menu and do a PC refresh and see if that will let me log on. Before I open it I want to find the manual online so I can do it correctly. I have a toshiba qosmio x875-q1790.
