Looking for someone to design the best possible gaming computer for my price range. The maximum budget is $3000.

Preferences include a silent computer that will hold good fps for many years to come. Something that will be able to run star citizen with ease, as well as any other game (under extensive use).

Budget should include a good gaming mouse and a decent keyboard. Good system storage is essential and a 24 inch high res monitor is also required.

An operating system is required, preferably Windows 7.

Please take into account the fact that I live in Australia

This, change the keyboard/mouse for one you like and upgrade the GPU 2 years down the line.

CPU/MB/RAM after 3 years and you're good to go

Please.He has $3000 and you're making him a build with an i5 and an R9 290.
He also said he wanted Win7. ;)

@Lukaboki, You don't need to spend all 3k if that's the budget.

@OP, here's something to consider.

Still 1k in the budget to spend on whatever, including peripherals and a nicer case for your taste or better cooler and what not. This system itself is already overkill as is.

You could upgrade the CPU to a i7 4790k if you want, but unnecessary most likely.

As for windows, no reason to go for w7 if w8 can do just as well if not slightly better in some things. It's more simple than you think if you're thinking it'll be a bit troublesome to relearn.
