Windows 8.1 Need Help

I just upgraded from win 7 to win 8.1 pro .

Now the mic is not working and at the notification area show plugged and plugged device many times like im removing the headset and placing it back in.

I tried all drivers from the website etc but still nothing

Any suggestion ?

Ahaha np

Seriosly any idea why the mic dsnt work ? Do i need a new mic ? Btw it worked on win 7.

I take it you've done the obvious and checked the levels of the mic in the control panel ?

Yeah i did everything possible. But nothing . The mic works fine in other devices

No ? or ! in device manager when plugged in?

Randomly at the tasbar notification area relatek icon show a device plugged and unplugged every 5 seconds. I deleted the drivers reinstalled the new one from the asrock website and still the mic dsnt work. The speakers works either behind or the front panel. The mic only recognized :/

Still sounds like a driver issue,maybe try a latest driver from realtek itself for your sound chip.
Deleting drivers and doing nothing and see if windows drivers work fine is an option too or see if windows will load new/best ones itself.
Maybe delete those drivers in safe mode so they are not in use.

I can't make more of it than that it is either a setting to be found or a driver,but don't really know where to look.I hope you find the solution.For the drivers is it just being patient i guess.

You did try front and back i/o connectors? Or is it usb?

I tried everything in my knowledge

Maybe ill just wait for a driver update or install a second win 7 on my HDD and wait patiently

Just found the solution. I had to reinstall windows 8. Block automatic driver installing . After that make all updates except audio drivers. Install Realtek from website. Restart pc . And the last step unninstall realtek install auto drivers then restart
