My PC has been freezing for short periods of time and then returning to normal for months and everything I've tried doesn't seem to fix it. I originally thought that it was my RAM timings being wrong in the bios, which they were but after fixing them the issue is still occurring.

Here's my system info:
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.140303-2144)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz
Memory: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
PSU: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS 730W ATX12V V2.2

GPU Temp: 60-70C (under load)
CPU Temp: ~100C (under load)

I read that Ivy Bridge processor run hot and their safe operating range is below 120c.

So I have fixed this for about a week now (the CPU temp that is) it's running at 60-70C max. But the freezing is still occurring.
