New system - dual monitors (I used with my previous box, both work fine). One plugged in with DVI, the other through VGA/d-sub. If I have just the DVI monitor plugged in, after system boot, monitor turns on.

Now, if I plug in the 2nd monitor, through the VGA port, the DVI monitor fails to "wake-up" after a cold boot. If I turn DVI monitor off, then back on again, it then turns on, no problem.

Other bit of info- after the MB post, I see the ASUS start up screen on both monitors, then the Windows loading icon. It's after this point, when both monitors go black as it switches to the higher resolution mode for Windows, that the DVI monitor does not wake up. So I end up with just one screen active.

Finally, both monitors do successfully wake up from Sleep mode - it's just from a cold boot when the one does not.

Any thoughts?

What kind of resolution settings do you have, which one is primary? Are they in extended mode,duplicated...? (You can check this over RIGHT CLICK ON DEKTOP-->SCREEN RESOLUTION) Models,Procesor,GPU...?

I'm running Extended mode, 1920 x 1200 on both monitors. Asus A55BM-E MB, AMD A10-7850K APU w/ on board graphics.

Just strange that it only happens when both monitors are plugged in.

Thanks for the help
