Hi. I am Vimal.

My Pc workstation config is :-
Sabertooth 990FX R.2 MotherBoard
8150 Bulldozer Black Edition Processor
160 GB Sea Gate Hard Drive - OS Files
1TB Western Digital Hard Drive - Secondary storage
FirePro V5900 Graphic Card
4 x 4 Ram 16Gb DDR 3
650 watts Smps
Cooler Master II Ad cabinet

I would like to add one more hard drive upto 6TB internal desktop hard drive.
Is there any compatibility issues with this?
Which brand should I choose? Seagate or Western Digital?
How much the RPM should be?

Suggest me the best one...

Thank you
regards
Vimal

If you can, take a picture of the label that's printed on the drive as that should have a model or other kind of reference number on it. A quick look around Google will tell you the speed of the drive.

WD use colours to denote the desired function of the drive. Red is for NAS drives and purple is for 24/7 usage, such as a CCTV system. Blue and Black are the mainstream drives, with the Black offering faster read/write speeds and possibly a better warranty.

Thank you so much bicycle_repair_man :)

One more doubt. If I do direct purchase from shops, how should I find the RPM of hard drive?

The RPM will be printed on the box or the drive itself. If you're in any doubt, just ask the person at the shop.

Initializing the hdd with GPT, ensures that the system can detect and use all 6tb of space. The standard we use daily is MBR and it can use up to 2.2 TB. And UEFI is a specification that defines a software interface between an OS and platform firmware.

Thanks again.
This is the big problem in Tamil Nadu, India. When I do direct purchase in shops, they are not providing me the box. Only the hard drive with a transparent covered. And the RPM info is not on the hard drive. Checked it already. Even I asked the person at the shop. He knew its 6 tb and its from WD brand, thats it. Business frogs :??:

Is there any model number to self check?
How can I find it?

If I go for WD 6Tb.
Should I need to buy WD Red or WD Purple? Which one will be the best?
Kindly clarify my doubts :??:
