Hello, i've got a problem with my gamepad (it has not any brand, the laptop recognises it as "generic USB controller"). I had this gamepad for about two years and ithas ever work perfectyl. Yesterday I insert it in the USB port on my laptop and PC wasn't able to recognize it (so do the red light on the pad doesn't work). I thought that the gampad didn't work but it works with other PC's. I connect usually other USB devices ad Mp3 reader , smartphone or usb mouse and they normally works. I thought that there was an electrical problem but i tested the voltage of the usb port using a Voltage Tester but the voltage it's normally about 5V. I have noticed that connecting another gamepad to the same laptop it didn't work but it works on other PC's. For this I reinstalled all USB and gaming devices driver but I have the same problem. I finally restore the windows main files but nothing is changed. Despite of I made many attempts i am not able to solve this problem. Can anyone help me? Could be a driver's or software problem? Thank you for help! (My laptop: OS Windows7 SP1 , Intel Pentium T4300 , 4 GB Ram)

Look in your control panel/device manager and see if the laptop recognizes the gamepad. Try pluging it in another usb port. Try to add device. Play another game and see if it works. Also check the product number or what the gamepad is called. If you give up and these steps contact your company like logitech because they fix it sometimes.

I tried it using the control panel of windows and using a program USBDeview , on the device there is only a red light that normally works if I press the "analog" button, but now it doesn't work or is on for a pair of seconds and then turns off. The main problem is that it is a generic USB it has got a mark printed but is not the mark of the company maker i think it is a cheap chinese device and it's a problem to find drivers. I would buy a good gamepad now but I am not sure that it will work! (Scuse my language I'm not english)
