A friend helped me pick this out. Im going from a horrible old computer to new and amazing since i have the money. I plan on making games and doing video rendering. as well as playing every awesome game out there with my new computer :) .

Wanted to get some opinions about the build. Not regarding price at all.
Mainly want to know if there's any potential problems i haven't thought of. Thanks!!

Based on your needs change the following:
1. I would go with an i7 cpu instead of the i5 (mainly for gaming). The i7 is better at rendering
2. Take your RAM up to 16gb, you will need the extra power
3. I would get atleast a 2tb HDD for video rendering
4. Think about Samsung for your SSD, they have the best drives right now

We respond to you based on the plans for the system you want, the build you listed is for gaming, not truly for video rendering. You want the i7 for those needs with more RAM. There is nothing wrong with your build
