Samsung Magician says my 840 pro SSD is not supported

Samsung Magician 4.4 says my 840 Pro SSD is not supported for Rapid Mode? What gives? I tried deleting and re-installing but that didn't help.

  1. Check the firmware for the SSD.
    There are also other requirements for RAPID mode
    I get an option to turn on rapid mode for my 840 Pro
  2. Contact Samsung, they have a fix for it, its a registry issue.
  3. I checked in the firmware, that's where it said my SSD was not supported.

    I would like to contact Samsung for the registry fix, do you have a link? When I googled about the problem there was no mention of this. Not on the Samsung website either.

    You have to call them at 1-800-SAMSUNG, they are open 9am-9pm eastern, Monday to Friday. The fix is considered confidential information ,so they are only allowed to do it over the phone.

    I know all this because i had an SSD i installed with that same issue and they explained the above to me.
