Higuys,

Juat a quick question. If two sticks of RAM had the same amount of memory, why would a Corsair RAM be more expensive? Is it just for the name?

Solution
Nope nothing which you can make out, and negligible difference anyways.
I'd rather say don't go for Vengeance, it got large heatspreaders, is big and bulky, over priced and heats up pretty quickly too. XMS3 is way better, and you may want to look at RJX, they're excellent sticks too!
Yes its just for the name, there's nothing else other than CL (and some latencies) and Mhz in memory which counts.
A 1600/9 RAM from Corsair is usually a few bucks costlier than RJX, and its just because of name. I personally own a 2400/10 Dominator Platinum and see no difference from Trident X of same values.

Thanks that's what i thought. i'm currently looking at theses two: Corsair XMS3 1600mhz CM3X2G1600C9DHX 4GB RAM (2 x 2gb) and Corsair Vengeance CMZ4GX3M2A1600C9 4gb (2 x 2gb) 1600mhz DDR3 PC3-12800

is there a huge difference?
