HI All

I ordered an XFX xxx edition 750w PSU (p1-750x-xxb9) semi modular 80 plus Bronze from amazon for £78.50. The company who supply the PSU to amazon said they had a stock problem with this particular PSU.
They offered a Corsair CS750M PSU saying it is better as it is 80 plus gold not bronze, however after reading this forum it appears the CS series PSU's use bad caps whereas XFX are made by Seasonic so I don't believe it is better (tell me if you think otherwise).

If I can't get the XFX I was thinking of getting one of the following PSU's:

Evga SuperNOVA 750W fully modular 80 plus Gold (220-G2-0750-XR)- for £80.76

or for a bit more

XFX ProSeries (Black Edition) 750W fully modular 80 plus Gold (P1-750B-BEFX) - for £94.99 - (updated)
Antec HCG-750M 750W semi modular 80 plus Bronze (HCG-750M GB) - for £96.85
Corsair AX760 fully modular 80 plus Platinum (CP-9020045-UK) - for £114.99

Please advise me on which PSU I should get, feel free to advise other PSU's. As long as it is 80 plus (don't mind whether it is bronze, silver, gold, platinum as this is to do with efficiency not reliability) and is around £80 - £110

The EVGA 750 G2 is excellent, for the prices listed I would definetely choose that one.

Make sure it's the G2 though.

I love the XFX ProSeries but the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W power supply would do great.

Update - Can get the xfx pro series black for £94.99 instead of £117. Can also get my original choice of the xfx xxx edition for £80.05 instead of £78.50. What would you get now with these prices?

The XFX is made by Seasonic. The EVGA G2 is made by Super Flower. Those are pretty much the top PSU makers right now.

You might pick the one with the best warranty, you can't really go wrong with either. Considering you either get a bronze rated seasonic, or the gold rated fully modular EVGA G2, I would still stick with the EVGA G2 for that price.

I think my choice is between these 3 now:

XFX ProSeries (Black Edition) 750W fully modular 80 plus Gold (P1-750B-BEFX) - for £94.99

XFX XXX Edition 750W semi modular 80 plus Bronze (P1-750X-XXB9) - for £80.05

Evga SuperNOVA G2 750W fully modular 80 plus Gold (220-G2-0750-XR)- for £80.76

The Evga looks good but are super flower as good as seasonic?, If it were you which one would you get?

Super Flower and Seasonic are the 2 best , I prefer the G2

The XFX ProSeries (Black Edition) can be rulled out as it would actually be the newer XFX XTR series unit because it has the same product code which I don't think is as good.

Between the XFX xxx edition and the Evga I will probably get the Evga, Also I want to know does the Evga come with a Molex power cable and is it Haswell Ready?

I would recommend the 850w EVGA G2 for sli 770s.

Just do a little research for the PSU you want to buy... Vendors like Newegg clearly show if a PSU is "haswell compatible".

Just pick one. They are both very good units. Please stop bumping the thread Lol... Get a 650 w or bigger for one GTX 770, 850w for two GTX 770.

This one is a good choice as said and will be enough imo to support sli of gtx 770 when you use a cpu from the 1150 socket. With an amd FX or 2011 would i get the 850watts version too, these just use more power.

Decided - Ordered the Evga G2 750W as I probably won't bother with sli anyway.

Also thanks everyone for all your help
