Hi
I would like to know how high temperatures can my amd r7 260x go untill something will happen to it, when playing something like far cry 3 on ultra it goes up to 78C and my friend who has a full nvidia/intel setup said it's really high and that he has 60C usually. I'm gonig to buy 1-2 more fans for my PC becasue the 2 what it has at the moment are stock ones and aren't at the best place.

78c is fine, its close to 80c which most poeple dont want to continually be over, even 80c isn't really bad. anything near 90c is bad, at 95c, very dangerous things could start happening, at 98-100c, componenets on the gpu can start melting.

your 260x has many self protecting features that will not allow it get anywhere near dangerous levels of heat. dont worry about it. you would have to mod the bios and overclock it like crazy with some sky high voltages to do anything bad to it. just make sure the fans are not blocked and are freely spinning.
