changed graphics cards card today sound all messed up

as the title suggest I finished changing graphics cards today. However my sound is all messed up I opened up the sound menu and set to speakers however I swear it just doesnt feel the same as before I did this. Also I cannot seem to get my headset micophone to function properly.

Any suggestions? and thanks in advance!

I have an Amd card, and it creates like an own sound driver for the hdmi monitor that is pre-turned off.
Check your output settings so no sound gets through the monitor speakers (if it have) ;)

just went through the BIOS and enabled intergrated audio. still seems off maybe it is placebo im not sure. however another important thing is I cant seem to properly setup my headset/microphone for skype. I can only hear others talk If I set to speakers and no matter what I do I cant seem to get my microphone working.
