I have a Phenom II x4 955 BE and I'm building a new computer. I want to use my 955 BE (which is perfectly okay for gaming) until I have money to upgrade to an FX 8350. I noticed that the 990 chipset AM3+ mobos on newegg say they support Phenom II CPUs. But Phenom II CPUs say they only support AM3 and AM2+ socket mobos. Which is true and can I use a Phenom II CPU on an AM3+ mobo. Here's a mobo I was looking at:
