Can I get 75HZ at 1080p resolution with dual link dvi cable with monitor Asus VE247H ? I had 1280x1024 monitor with 76HZ and I could see difference from the 60HZ which I have now, so I would love to get that refresh rate working on this monitor. It says maximum refresh rate is 75HZ, but only at really low resolutions, like the one I had on old monitor (1280x1024), so I was wondering if its possible to get to max refresh rate at native resolution with dual link dvi cable.

If the monitor doesnt support 1080 at 75hz then there nothing you can do but replace the monitor with one that does.

So, even with normal dvi cable, I could get 75HZ at 1080p if my monitor could do it ? Because I heard somewhere that single dvi cable cannot handle more then 60HZ at 1080p resolution.

You would still need a dual link cable for 75hz at 1080p.

So should I give it a shot and try buy dual dvi or its pointless for my monitor ? Would 75HZ option pop up when I plug in dual dvi cable ?

Edit:said something in wrong post. It won't work at 1080p 75hz with display port. I know. I have 2 of those monitors. But it does work at 720. But personally 1080 at 60 is better then 720 at 75 to me.
