Not bad. I would switch to a fully modular PSU for cable management convenience and just need to make sure that that GPU will fit in the case. I have two EVGA 780ti Classifieds in SLI and the ACX coolers and cards themselves were huge before I replaced the coolers with EKWB waterblocks. And maybe use an AIO CPU cooler like the Corsair H80i or H100i if they can fit in the case.

I would make these changes:

- RAM- Changed to 1.5v ram since the Intel haswell chips only support up to 1.5v
-Cooler- Changed to the better Nh-D14
-SSD- Crucial MX 100 or M500 are more reliable SSDs
-GPU- No need for 6gb gtx 780, for that price you would be better off getting a gtx 780 ti. Only reason you would want the 6gb version is if you plan to SLI another 780 into your build in which case you would need a bigger PSU
-PSU- The Corsair CX use cheap components and are not reliable for high end rigs, The EVGA G2 750w comes with a 10 yr warranty is is very high quality.

If you change the psu you're all set

I was told that the 6Gb version would be more future proof since SLI doesn't increase RAM? But it that just overkill?

What kind of monitor setup are you going to have? Triple monitor, 1440p or 4k? for normal 1080p a gtx 780 is already overkill, you only would need 2 6gb gtx 780s for triple monitor if even that.

I was planning on doing 1440p and eventually do double 1440p down the road

No, 6gb is ideal, and ram doesn't increase in sli, that is correct
