Seems like my computer likes to BSOD every 2 days. Usually happens when I'm watching a video on twitter or something and the sound starts to buzz and leads to BSOD.

I've tried beta drivers, uninstalling CCC and starting with all new drivers but nothing seems to work. My GPU (Sapphire HD 7870) is pretty notorious for being annoying and randomly freezing but I've already RMA'd like 2 times. Any reason for these occurrences?

Solution
Some serious digging in the crash dump files would need to be done by someone FAR more knowledgeable than me.
However, you may be getting slightly close with narrowing it down. You mention every two days. Do you shut your computer off or just let it go to sleep? You need to eliminate variables and be able to reproduce the crash reliably, as in get it to do it on demand, in order to find the problem.
Yes it sucks.

I do not know where you could submit crash dumps to for answers. Good luck, and be sure to post a solution when you find one.

Hmmm. And yet my Gigabyte Windforce 7870 has purred like a kitten for over a year.
Sure it's not something else? Anytime I've experienced crashes that seemed card/driver related at first glance, they turned out to be other programs/software being the real culprit.

Hmm any idea what it could be? I don't have any peculiar software installed other than some games, microsoft word, etc

Specific idea, no. But sometimes I have had weird things come up from java/flash updates that then required a driver update, not always immediately available, because of conflicts that one caused in the other.

Mostly I guess I am trying to say that my quite similar card has not caused this for me, and is generally very reliable. So before I spent a lot of time and/or money swapping the card out, I would look for other sources.

Especially considering when you say you have issues, which is under very low stress situations. I would be pointing the finger at various web players. Does this happen under gaming conditions as well? You did not mention that if it does. I see you mention Twitter as a video source. Since I don't think that is a video site, I am guessing you are following links to other video sources, some of which may be "questionable"

Unless it is that particular variant of 7870 that is notorious, because I have not come across sources in the last year and a half I was researching and then owned mine.

Hmm do you find it weird that it occurs basically every 2 days or is that just arbitrary lol

And yes it actually does happen while gaming but instead of giving me that BSOD error, my sound hangs and then my computer just loses display, forcing me to hard restart my computer. It used to happen a lot but this is the first occurrence since I RMA'd my card a few months ago.

It mainly (well only) crashes while I play league of legends which is a game that runs on Adobe Air. Since it also crashes while wtaching videos perhaps there lies the problem?
