Laptop with 8850m or 720m

Hi,

Just trying to figure out which laptop is better to get in terms of graphics/game capabilites.
The 8850m has 8GB ram, and a i5-4210u.
The 720m has 16GB ram, and a i7-4600u.

From what I have read online the 8850m is the better card but will the other specs of the 720m machine make up for that?

Thoughts?

The 720 has 16 gigs of ram which will help if you plan on running lots of apps. Ram usually helps in productivity and general workflow.

Personally i would got for the 8850 one if the gpu is better like you said (not sure here as i am unaquainted with mobile gpus). 8 gigs of ram will get you through the vast majority of work you would do on the laptop and if you were the type that could make use of 16 gigs of ram you wouldn't be here asking for advice.

Unless there is some problem that i am unaware of regarding the 8850m and the i54210u then got for it.
