Can't Change CPU Clock Ratio with FX6300 and Gigabyte 970A-UD3P

Hello everyone,
I'm completely new to overclocking and this is my very first attempt. I've read several guides and collected all the necessary software to test my system stability and monitor temperature, and I even used a PSU calculator to make sure I have enough extra wattage for an overclock. I started out testing the stability of my system at stock speeds for 2.5 hours. There were no problems, so I decided to go into my BIOS and up my CPU Clock multiplier for the first time. However, the BIOS isn't allowing me to alter any clock speeds associated with my CPU and I can't figure out why. I read that all the power saving features should be disabled and HPC should be enabled, so I tried that. I also made sure core unlock is enabled. When I have the CPU Clock Ratio option highlighted and I press enter, nothing happens. I'll list the components in my rig below, along with pictures of my current BIOS settings.

CPU: AMD FX-6300
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
RAM: single 8GB stick of Crucial Ballistix Tactical LP
PSU: Rosewill Capstone 650W
Graphics: Asus R9 270X
Cooling: CM Hyper 212 EVO along with 3 case fans

Solution
You need to turn the cpu clock ratio from auto to manual and then you should be able to set it no problem. If you can't change something that you need to for it just look for the auto associated with it and set it to manual. Good luck and enjoy playing and seeing what you can get out of your system it should be fun. I enjoy testing systems myself and seeing what they can easily achieve.

Thanks for your reply!
That's actually what I'm having trouble with. It's not letting me change any of the 'auto's to 'manual's. All of the clock settings, the multiplier, and the voltage settings don't give me an option to switch to manual when I select them and press enter.

Oh, wow. I feel silly now.
I tried again and found out my problem.
For whatever reason, these settings can only be changed with the plus and minus keys, whereas most others I can change by pressing enter, which causes a list of choices to appear.

Ah interesting Gigabyte boards bios are just a tad different then the Asus ones that I normally use. Asus is same lay out and everything but allows you to use Enter for selecting if you chose or the +/- like you used to have to do. Glad you got it figured out and I was able to help some. Enjoy the fun.

Your not the only one feeling silly... I even thought to use the +/- keys, but I didn't think to use the numpad keys... Thanks for solving this!
