Hey...
i got a new CPU,Motherboard and 16 gb ram...

im using the normal fan that i got in the box of the CPU
when i opened a game with the new CPU the computer just started BURNING!
i downloaded HardwareMonitor and i saw that im on 55-60 temeratures when nothing is opened and when im playing games (LEague of Legends) the CPU goes to 81-82...
Is it normal?

The new CPU - i7 4790 (Old - I5 3470)
New motherboard - Asus B85M - G (Old - ASRock h71m-dgs)
Now 16 gb ram 1600 and until now 8 gb 1600

before i bought the new items the computer wasnt that hot...
im not sure on what temperatures but not like these..

sorry for my bad english...

should i get new fan for the CPU?

the intel sink can be tricky and not like a amd with a positive locking method -- it more educated guess and feel cause its attached free hand too loose bad too tight bad it one of the things you got to get just right -- I also guess you did not remove the paste from the cooler?? or you may want to get some good stuff like artic silver and reseat it

You now have a faster mobo, processor, and more ram. All of that means more heat that you need to get out of the enclosure so you probably need more case fans and/or a case with better air flow.

Typically, you don't need more than the standard boxed CPU heat sink unless you are overclocking. On the other hand, cooler is better and you'll get longer life out of your components so spending money on a better cooler is always a good idea, IMO, unless you are severely budget constrained.

81C or 82C isn't too high for that setup but lower is always better. If it gets up to 90C you are in danger so you are nearing the limits.

Take the side covers off of the case and see if temperatures come down. If so, that's a clear indication you need to get more air through the case. It may be that you just aren't exhausting the heat fast enough.

Any solution to this problem?. We both have the same system and also experiencing this issue. I'm getting 40-45C on idle. But running prime95 for 30 SECONDS makes it up to 99C. What is wrong with this processor
