windows 7 ultimate booting problem

when i start up my lappy....then it takes enormous time to boot windows....sometimes a black screen appears and then a blue screen appears....and remains in that way...after 5-10 mins sometimes it fails to boot windows and restarts....and other times i get lucky....after booting windows runs smoothly.....any solutions???

Try downloading and running this: http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-win-master/

If you get any "Fail"s on any of the tests, make sure you've got a current image saved of your boot drive, as you may be in for a replacement.

Slightly less likely, you may have a CPU thermal issue. Take a can of compressed air and thoroughly clean the cooling system intake and exhaust vents. Pay special attention to the copper cooling vanes you'll see just inside the exhaust vent.
