Hello Experts,

i just want to know, my brother asked me about these processors.

He wants to buy a 2nd hand processor but i don't know which is better.

Here

Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 $28
Intel Core 2 Quad q9400 $59

he has $70 and already a setup for LGA 775 build .. only the processor is needed..

please help

Yes, but it's not going to do modern games full out without a great video card, and too good a card, it will bottleneck the CPU. People spend $200-$300 on a good CPU for gaming nowadays, don't expect miracles for $28-59.

yep i understand, lol he'll be playing dota 2 and some other games that looks like dota 2 i guess .. he has aamm gtx 460 se .. would it work ?
