I've just finished assembling my first gaming computer and did a test boot. Everything seems OK and I have BIOS menu. The only thing that I noticed is this Q-Code on my motherboard that shows A2 which means IDE Detect.

Couldn't find clear and understandable description of this, can you help me?

CPU: Core i7 4790K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x8 = 16GB
SSD Storage: Samsung 840EVO 250GB
HDD Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780Ti Supercklocked ACX
Power Supply: Corsair AX860
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST

Reading this posts I noted some possible issues:

- Leave only one HDD or SSD and Optical Drive for OS installation and disconnect the rest SATA devices from the motherboard.

- Possible SATA defective cable.

- Loose CPU_FAN connector.

- In BIOS disable CPU_FAN monitoring. (mostly for watercooler owners)

Now in my case after knowing possible problems I turned on my computer for the second time to solve them... But the A2 IDE Detect disappeared, instead I now have the AE Legacy Boot Event.

Judging by the info I found this means that no OS is installed and there is nothing to boot...

Basically there is no problem (if this is a new computer without OS like in my case) and I can calmly proceed with the OS installation.

P.S. As for the A2 IDE Detect I have no idea what this can be but in my case it just gone.
