Hello! This is my first post on Toms Hardware. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place or something, anyways, Ill get straight to the point.

I am building myself a PC and while I was looking for a WIFI Card for Internet access (on http://www.aria.co.uk to be exact.) I came up with a problem. I am going to be running Windows 8.1 on my future PC but when I look at the selection of Wifi cards I noticed that none of them say that they are compatible with Windows 8. I don't know if Im missing something or what. Thanks in advance, but if you would like to link me a good Wifi card (preferably a 300mbps one) that would be amazing! Thanks!

EDIT: I came upon this thread (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2080480/wifi-car...) and noticed that the specifications clearly listed that that card was compatible with OS: Windows 7(32/64bits), Windows Vista(32/64bits), Windows XP(32/64bits) - I don't know if thats a special case or what. But again thanks!

Keep in mind a USB dongle wireless card will significantly underperform a PCI wireless card. Also you'll see a less responsive pc with as many as 700 CPU cycles are used to run those USB dongles vs. an internal card with its own processor. With that in mind, any card that works great in Windows 7 should be just fine in your Windows 8.1 rig!

http://www.amazon.com/Panda-300Mbps-Wireless-N-Adapter-... you can thank me later :)

Note that it runs on USB and comes with the installation disk. It works with Windows 8.1 according to the title, and I have it myself and love it.

Thank you, but (and Im sorry for not mentioning this my fault) I was not looking for a USB wifi. But again thanks for helping me out!

Thanks big woofer! For both answering my problem and helping me with the USB answer!
