i have a r7000 netgear nighthawk router hooked up in my back computer room with 3 11dbi asus omni antennas, from there i have a 50ft ethernet bridging that router to my front computer room to another router (not sure of the model) the mystery router is the router i use personally but the issue lies with my nighthawk. in which was meant to provide internet to my sister mainly to allow access to my personal network videos on her roku.

the issue is the signal is pretty weak. i want to upgrade the antennas on the nighthawk to a directional setup with probably yagi antennas. but the question is MUST i upgrade all 3 antennas with directionals? or can i just upgrade 1 / 2 of them? if so what ones can i upgrade? im assuming one or 2 of those antennas is for the 5ghz band but the thing is i dont use the 5gz band on the nighthawk. so thats no issue. i just need to get my internet signal about 200-250yards to a roku. i would prefer to keep this cheap.

thanks for any help.
