If I boot up my system (windows 7 64bit) at 7:32 am.. I get a strange guitar sound at 8:32, 9:32, 10:32 etc. Any clues what could be causing this and how to fix it?

bring up task manager and see what you have running.sounds like an alarm or notifier.

All I have running is Bing Desktop, Internet Explorer, Skype and Viber.

But even with all applications closed it still happens every hour. I was almost wondering if there could be something wrong in the boot cycle? I have looked in the events log and nothing shows up there either.

Running a deep scan now... I use Vipre for antivirus.

I wish there was a way I could record the sounds. its like five guitar twangs. Darnest thing I have heard, and annoying.

ive heard this before but i cant think where.maybe it will come to me.lol. also do a scan with malwarebytes.post the logs so we can see what we are up against.you could also right click on your sound icon to see if you have some kind of notification sound enabled.

The malwarebytes log is too large to post on here.. is there a way to add as a text message?

I did quarantine everything it found but I am still getting the same results.

I found the problem... I have been USB'd... even though I had my NVidia Shield hooked up to my PC for more days than I was getting the sounds, soon as I unplugged it, all is silent. Thank you Orlbuckeye and Aldan for all your assistance.
