Hey everyone, as the title says I need a little bit of help picking out a good psu and ups for my build. I live in Alaska so the power is constantly going out for one reason or another I would like a ups that has the ability to safely turn my computer off and protect it from surges, brownouts, and all that fun stuff that electronics hate. Here is a link to my build:

Appreciate your help. :)

Before I answer your question? Is this a gaming build, as it really is not designed well in ALOT of places and can easily be changed to save ALOT of money and lose no performance.

Gaming as well as photo/video editing and dvd/br ripping. Do already have most parts, all I have left to order are the graphics cards and monitor (waiting on the rog swift)

The GPUs are what I would change the most. Actually I would have changed it all, but too late now.

Get two 780s FOR SURE. Or two 780ti's. This will be WAY WAY better than quad SLI with two dual GPUs. That is just asking for trouble.

In alot of games/ programs only 2 physical 760s will be able to be used.

Two 780tis will be IMMENSELY better.

Not a problem. Generally those dual GPU cards are never a good idea in any case and are usually marketing stunts.

Ahh well that's a little disappointing, but I'm glad I found out now rather than later. So with the two 780tis what psu and ups would you recommend?

A few other things to note. I have used that case before. It is ENORMOUS. It will be higher off the floor than your desk is. An INSANELY huge case. Generally made for showing off as it actually doesn't have any more interior space than any other regular sized full-tower. There is a good chance you will need PSU cable extensions, however.

Also that Wifi adapter is no better than one half it's price. But, clearly price was not even a consideration with this build at all.

What sort of video editing/ encoding/ rendering will you be doing?

Get a 1000w PSU from Antec, XFX, Seasonic. I have no idea about UPS's

Honestly the video editing is just something I want to get into in the future. Have not started my research into it yet.

Then 32gb RAM is 100% pointless and 16gb would even have been overkill for you. As it stands 8gb RAM is MORE than enough to max ANY GAME at ANY resolution. Not doing daily HEAVY video rendering also means that CPU is a bit of a waste and an 8350 for half the price would basically perform the same in all your tasks.

If you're going for a 1KW I'd go with the EVGA P2 series - the 1200W got a 10 out of 10 on Jonnyguru, and the 1KW got a 9.8 out of 10.
