Hello guys,

As the title mentions, I cannot access my Second Hard drive. I know that a second hard drive exists because on "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" it says that my Volume0 is split into two drives of 500GB. Drive one, which I'm using now, is almost out of space, so I had wanted to access Drive two. However, I cannot. This is how the two individual drives look like in Intel:
Drive One: http://gyazo.com/3e96eda1a3b5bb8ecc5a929d3d967218
Drive Two:http://gyazo.com/2f5e7a6d5cf71c3296a6082733115d43
Overall: http://gyazo.com/5253d67cb07b6c931220734022a7a8a8

I have tried Computer management from Computer -> Manage -> Storage -> Computer Management. It simply just doesn't show up in that screen.
This is what it looks like: http://gyazo.com/616620a823373435f7bd1b87b49dcb9e.

I suspect its because one drive is the recovery drive and the other is the master, but I see no reason to completely use up 500GB just for recovery. As Computer management showed that there already exists a recovery section of 14.65GB in the Drive One.

So I know that two drives exist, but I have no way of accessing it through Computer Management, so the next obvious step is to access BIOS and try from there. I have tried tampering with the BIOS and changing the settings to activate / show the Second drive, but nothing happens.

I'm out of ideas, perhaps I didn't correctly activate it through the BIOS but I'm clueless on this topic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Er I'm not sure. How do you check that / set them up as Raid 0? I've tried pressing F12 at startup but I don't see Raid set ups.

I take it you have two 500GB drives, is this correct? If yes, and it is in a RAID, it will show up as only one drive. If you look at your IRST screen again you will notice that it has Array_0000 at the top and the drives are not listed as separate drives. Depending on the RAID it could be mirroring one drive to the other for redundancy (similar to but not exactly like a backup drive) or it could be set up to "stripe" the data meaning it is splitting data between the two drives for faster writing of files.

1) Click on Start
2) Click on Control Panel
3) Click on System
4) On the left side click on Device Manager
5) Scroll down until you see Storage Controllers and expand it by clicking on the arrow

What do you see when you do this?

The Storage Controller I see is:

"Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller."

It's updated to the most recent version.

Since it is a RAID controller then it may indeed be set up as a RAID. When I look at my storage controllers I see a JMicron and a Marvell controller but nothing with "RAID" in the name. Did you build this computer yourself or have someone build it for you? What type (brand/model) motherboard does it have?

I had someone else build it for me quite a few years ago, so I don't really know the exact details of the motherboard. What I can say is that it is made by Dell of the XPS 8100 Series. System Information tells me that my motherboard is "Dell Inc. 0T568R," though I have no idea what that means haha.

Below Disk 4 is the CD-ROM 0 for DVDs, and nothing else.
