Fans Have No Impact On CPU Temps?

Hello,

I have an EKWB EK-Kit X360 custom loop kit with Noctua IndustrialPPCs on the radiator.
I found out that the fan speed has no impact whatsoever on the CPU temp!

So it idles at 30C
Using SpeedFan, I set the fan speed to 100%, temperature dropped to 29C
Then I set the fan speed to 0%, and I got 30C.

Can someone tell me what is going on?

Either speedfan isnt reporting the correct temps (which it dosent time to time) or speedfan isnt changing the fan speeds (again, which it dosent time to time)

Try using a different program to monitor the temps and/or fan speeds.

I can see the temperature on HWMonitor, SpeedFan, and my motherboard. They all say 29-30C, so I know SpeedFan is working correctly.
And I can confirm SpeedFan is changing fan speeds, from the noise, HWMonitor, and SpeedFan.

I wonder if your temperature sensor is working right then.

Does it never get hotter than 30c?

Yes, when I run stress tests it goes to 61C

I also tried running a stress test with the fans at 100% and 30%. Temperature stayed at 61C.

If yo were at 61 Celcius with your fan speed at both a low rpm and then at max rpm I think you need to upgrade your cpu hsf. It doesn't seem to be scaling very well.

It's a watercooling loop and I just bought it, so it's not old or anything.

It could be that the fans are terrible.

Noctua industrialPPCs are among the best static pressure fans though.
But remember even when they are off, the temps are still 30C
