Now here is the thing, that I am trying to build a new PC for some high resolution gaming ,then I was thinking for GTX 770 4 GB or an upgrade over 770 which is GTX 780 6GB .
But my only concern for these cards are their lower memory bandwidth . 256 Bit memory bus IMO isn't going to be enough for utilizing that higher amount of VRAM.
Now can someone please elaborate if these cards going to be a good choice in SLI or as a standalone card ? If not then can someone please mention some alternative choice for these cards.

What do you mean by higher resolution first?
If you mean 4K, i wouldn't really choose SLI GTX 770. SLI 780 could be an option.
The higher VRAM will be beneficial in 4K resolution or Nvidia Surround in SLI. For a single card at 1080p, the 3GB on the GTX 780 would probably be fine.

Higher resolution means 4K or it can be 5760x1080 or 7680x1440 etc etc. Do you really think that the higher VRAM won't be bottlenecked by that low bus width ?

The GTX 780 SLI for released games currently are ok at 4k right now. You don't need to turn on Antialiasing at 4k so that helps frame rates.
The other alternative is the R9 290 CF or R9 290X CF.

This review shows that even thought he R9 290X has a higher bandwidth, There isn't much difference with GTX 780 TI SLI.

The 3GB GTX 780 SLI will probably be fine at 4k.

I think R9 295x2 will be better choice because it comes with Waterblock pre-intalled,So I can push it more ,while for R9 290X I will have to depend on Overclocking on air ,as right now at these moment I can't invest in separate waterblock & radiator. & then there are several other expenditure on fitting ,tubing,Reservoir(if i want to go custom loop instead of closed loop) .
Second reason , Where I live in is usually a hot territory. The avg temperature in my are is app 30-35 & max is 40-45' Celsius. So you know for any kind of card, overclocking on air isn't suitable option for me. But then that pre-installed waterblock & radiator will be a blessing for me.

Whilst the waterblock sounds nice on the stock R9 295X, it actually can perform worser than a R9 290X crossfire. The temps can reach 95C and you have no real control over the fans and pump.

From Benchmark I am watching that the performance difference between R9 290x CFX & R9 290 CFX are negligible. So that means I will be paying premium for 6-7 FPS advantage ,
So i thinking to go with R9 290 in CFX ,as the price deference between them are like $150 (Reference card),So for 2 cards I am going to save $300 & then I will be investing that extra $300 in waterblocks & can overclock R9 290 CFX to match or even overcome those performance of R9 290X CFX or 780 ti SLI . How does that sound ?
