Losing internet every 15min or so

Just switched from At&t to Cox Communications today. Using Cox's modem which is a Netgear. Internet speeds are great but every 10-15min I lose internet then it rapidly comes back(est time 15-20sec). I watched the lights last time and all the power lights etc are fine except the number 1 light which is the Ethernet connection 1 which is my computers number. I'm having a tech come out tomorrow morning. But didn't know if anyone might know what may be causing this as my work relies on having steady internet connections. Thank you!
