Sometimes no display/Grounding issue ?

Hey guys
I am experiencing some weird random boots with no display(hear windows sound), but when the pc has display all works top notch.
Someone recently said it might be a grounding issue
What do you guys think ?

Your screen will occasionally boot with just a black screen and do you reboot and it comes on or? It's a possible cable issue, try swapping dvi or hdmi or whatever you use.

Well, It occasionally boots with a black screen, and for it to work again, most of the time i have to switch off completely and turn the psu switch off/on.
I found out its not a cable issue though, as there is a tv connected via hdmi, which also doesnt display anything.

Ahh, the issue re started -.-

I am definitely thinking either psu being old is doing some tricks (although unlikely due to it starting up with windows sound but just no display, and when it displays, all is perfect) or just a grounding issue.
