if I just plug my passport it shows all the files without a password request

Hi there akaley,
when creating a password to protect your WD My passport external HDD there is also a check box called "Enable auto unlock for user". This means that the WD security software will remember your password for this drive on your computer. The WD Security Software will require you to type your password to unlock the drive when you restart or reconnect it, unless you've selected the "Enable auto unlock for user" check box when you first created your password.
