Hi guys!

Looking to get some help from you guys. My current problem is every now and then, while playing any game, my computer monitors will both just go black, saying no signal received. But my computer lights are still going, and I can hear all the game sound and everything still. Sometimes, my entire computer will crash during this.
The only way to get my monitors back is to restart my computer. I've been watching my cpu and gpu temps, and nothing out of the ordinary seems to be happening during these times.

Here are my specs:
Intel i7-3770K
AMD Radeon HD 7970
Sabertooth Z77
Corsair AX850 PSU

Just thought I'd see if I could get your input on this issue.
I'm not sure if it's my power supply, or my GPU, or what. Any tips would be appreciated.

I've also remove all sleep/power saving settings so that shouldn't be the issue.

Thank you all! Look forward to your responses!

It's the driver, I had the same issues with my 7790 and it's only the 14.2 driver that seems to work for me.

Had the same problem too, just go to Performance Information and Tools > Adjust Power Settings
Now if you have the Balanced or High Performance plan selected it doesn't matter just go to Change Plan Settings and set the 2 settings on Never.
Let us know !

Thanks for the input! How do I go about rolling back to an older driver such as 14.2? I was on the 14.7 Beta drivers, so I'm removing those and installing 14.4 Stable. I'll give that a shot.

Buy yeah, how do you go back to older driver versions?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks Dario!
But as I said at the bottom of my first post, I've already set all power saving settings to never, and that seemed to help, but it's still happening on occasion. It seems to only happen 2 or 3 hours into a gaming session.

Go to to control panel > add/remove programs and uninstall the old driver and CCC then reboot and install the version you want to try.

Okay, making an update post here.

After doing everything I could driver wise, it kept shutting off from time to time.
Last night, it happened, and the monitors would never come back on after a restart. Frustrated, I went to bed.
This morning, I go to turn my computer on. And it doesn't boot. I repair, and restore; do everything I can, won't boot.
So I took my video card out, and used the onboard video card. It boots up fine. So I figure my graphics card has died.
For shits and giggles, I throw my wife's graphics card in. Computer won't boot. It shows the bios loading screen, and the windows boot menu. But after that it's just black screens, as well as my mouse and keyboard lights go off.
I throw my video card in my wife's machine, it works fine. So I thought it might be my BIOS, so I cleared my CMOS. Still not booting with either graphics card in.

Do you guys have any ideas? I'm quite lost at the moment.

For anyone wondering, I've narrowed it down, after 7 hours of troubleshooting, to be my motherboard. I think the PCI-E slots have died. I'm RMA'ing it tomorrow.
