I use a Seagate external hard drive on my laptop. This drive has held many pictures, movies and files. But, yesterday, it was formatted and everything was gone. From the drive backups, I had copied back most of my original stuffs. But, there still were several folders that had been made the other day and not been updated to this backup copy. Please tell me how can rescue these folders back from this formatted drive. Thanks for you help!

Rescue your folders all back right now? You should always prepare two or more devices to save your important data copies. So, remember to do several backups from now on and also update them when you do some changes to your data.
But, now, if you have no luck to rescue your drive folders, just take chances with some data recovery software online.

Well, there are chances that you can recover files after a disk format if you use a good file recover program. I use Restorer Ultimate, it has a very good wizard interface and powerful data recovery engine.
You need to scan the disk and find the previous partition on the disk and see what folders and files can be recovered. Just google Restorer Ultimate to find its site.

After you've recovered your data (hopefully), you need to buy another backup drive so you've always got two of them. One backup is not enough. Accidental formatting is one thing, but when (not if) the drive fails, you've absolutely no chance of getting data off it unless you're rich, so a second backup is vital.
