Hi,

Every time I see a 'which gtx 780?' thread where the Inno3D GeForce GTX 780 iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra is mentioned, it always gets overlooked.

Why is this?

On hexus and other review websites it always gets rave reviews and comes highly recommended.

I *think* I've consumed pretty much all material available comparing aftermarket 780s and as far as I can see, overclocking aside, the Inno3d card comes out on top

It's certainly the coolest (on air) running card available, and one of the quietest (fans left on auto) due to the mammoth HSF.

In group tests it seems to almost always trump every other aftermarket card in 3dmark/crisis 3/unigine/battlefield 4 etc.

I've just started looking at AISC (ASIC?) quality, and voltage regulators and noticed that the card is reference rather than the asus, evga etc. 8+2 improved regulation, which is the only downside I can see, however, the fact the card runs much cooler may offset this?

sustained heat kills electronics, as many of our products at work prove, so my initial thoughts are that provided you leave the factory overclock alone and don't push the boundaries, and leave the card operating cool and quiet, it should be fine?

By all means, I'm no GPU/electronics expert, the last system build I did was about a decade ago with a 3850 in it, so I'm out of touch, but any thought's about this card would be very welcome!!

cheers,

I'm getting the 780 ti dhs edition, the reason not many people know about this company or their products is that they are only active in Europe, and there is only one reseller here in the UK, but I do agree, they make great products, but not many people know about them, that's all

ahh, I see, that makes sense, I've just found a german company that distributes to the UK called 'Telco-tec' that's offering the DHS version of the ichill herculeZ 780 for £360.88 which is £70 less than overclockers...

unless voltage regulation is an issue I'm massively overlooking, this looks like an amazing card, even money no object for a gtx 780

They sell them here in Japan.
They also do a DHS version.

Mine (iChiLL ULTRA 780) cost me over (the equivalent of) $700 USD.
I can get the Water-cooled version to go SLi for around (the equivalent of) $400 now prices have dropped.

Current Firestrike is around 7700+ (No Xtra overclock) to 8200 (today [Evga Overclock tool]). Coupled with a Haswell i7 4770

These are my first steps in overclocking.

I get FAR HIGHER results on my R9 280 Crossfire rig using a i5 4580S (low power) chip: that scores over 10,000 Firestrike.
