Laptop wifi not showing

Hi

I've put my laptop to sleep by turning down the screen (as to 'close' the laptop which I always do), went out, then when I came back, it was connected to the ethernet connection.

Now the issue is that I can't find any Wifi connection. IT IS GONE! lol. I have no idea how and why! I didn't touch anything.

Any idea of what should I do..?

Disconnect the ethernet cable and WiFi should come back. Windows won't allow both to work at the same time.

Well, the fact is that there was never any ethernet cable xD
I only use Wifi, I never use cable, how did the ethernet took place of Wifi is a mystery.

Well, after searching, and many attempts, I read that Windows 8 just 'ejects' any device that doesn't work anymore. That's why I couldn't find the Wifi adapter anywhere.
By chance, I had an old Wifi adapter laying, I swapped and bingo xD
