Specific Nvidia Display Crash

Hello,

For the past year almost, I've been have an issue with my graphics card. I would play many games, and at somewhat random times, my game would just black screen for about 10 seconds with looping sounds, then the sound resumes, and in some games, the display recovers, but in most it doesn't, and a game restart is needed.

I tried many solutions, including:
- Turning the graphics card off and on. (I have switchable graphics on my Laptop)
- Full System Restore.
- Memtest
- Trying my 2 sticks of ram individually to check if one of them is faulty
- Tried a whole handful of drivers, including the factory driver (driver 280.10)after I made a System restore.

My Intel graphics card is not affected by the blackscreens, so it couldn't be a CPU/RAM problem, right? (Unless my RAM doesn't cope well with my nVidia card, but I never changed any components so I don't know what could be causing it)

Among the games that recover after crashes, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I play the game a lot, essentially because it's the only game that's somewhat playable. After some testing, I found out that a particular level/map in the game would crash me exceptionally more than others.
The map is de_seaside for those on here who play the game. It's pretty much the smallest map in the game, literally, but it has a special aspect about it. It's surrounded completely by water. It's pretty much a tiny city in the water.

Now on 1 side, your character spawns in a backalley surrounded by houses. On the opposing team, you spawn on a dock, surrounded by water. When I would spawn in the backalley, nothing would happen, and I could play the game fine. When I would spawn on the dock, my game would blackscreen EVERY SINGLE TIME. And it's quite annoying seen how I need to spawn there up to 15 times. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, after about 3-4 crashes, instead of recovering, my whole computer would lockup, and then the sound freeze into a static beep that creeps you out. By then, if I restart my computer I wouldn't have enough time to rejoin the game because of the "5 minute abandon" rule.

So could it be that my graphics card is experiencing difficulties with a specific shader of some sort? Is there a way to fix such things?

It's getting quite frustrating having to play with my Intel HD card with low FPS, and pretty much not being able to play games like Battlefield 3, Bad company 2, Arma. And I'm also not financially comfortable at the moment to buy a new laptop/building a PC, seen that if my graphics card was defecated I can't buy a new one, and would need to buy one second hand.

Here are my Specs:

Lenovo Y570 Ideapad

- Intel Core i7-2670QM @2.20GHz
- 6.0 GB of RAM
- 64-bit Windows 7: Home Premium SP1
- Nvidia GT555M 1GB
- Switchable Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics Family

Thanks in Advance, sorry for long thread.

Start by checking your GPU's temperature during gameplay. You can do that with GPU-Z.

Download here: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

Anything above 70°c could be cause for concern and would explain crashes. If your GPU is running hot consider cooling solutions such as a Cooling Pad or elevating your laptop so the vents on the underside aren't in contact with a surface, such as by propping it up on two hardcover books.

I have checked my temperatures many times, and it doesn't seem to be the problem. I've even tried fur mark, and the highest it went was 80~, and it would never blackscreen aswell.
