Hi, I just got my R9 290X and when playing crysis 3 GPU-Z Reported a maximum clock speed of 908mhz, Is this good/did i get a good chip. Temperatures were around 60 Degrees Celsius and it was during the second level. My model is a Power Color PCS+ R9 290X, Cataclyst 1.4.4.

Also when i right click on the cataclyst control panel it displays my gpu 6 times.

More about : 290x clock speed

The 6 times showing GPU is normal for Catalyst, it's just a bug that you'll have to live with. ^^ (mine is also showing 6 times, my old gpu was also showing multiple cards)
Your GPU should be clocked at 1050mhz?
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/powercolor-pcs-r9-2...

Core Clock: 1050mhz
Memory Clock: 1350mhz

Even if you where hitting a thermal limit (which i highly doubt with a triple fan cooler) you should stille see a maximum of 1050mhz even if the card was thermal throttling.
You haven't touched any of the settings on catalyst or any overclocking software you might have? Could be that you accidentaly set it to "Quiet" or just lowered the clock.

Might also be that you didn't set the settings high enough, therefore the card didn't see any reason to run at full clock speed (you should set it to very high in Crysis 3!)

I set it to very high with 4x Msaa including very high textures option.
How do you set the card to quit/non quiet?

You could have set it to Quiet two places:
In overclocking software, they sometimes have profiles like etc. a profile with a lower clock named "Quiet".

Though you might want to run a stress test or a benchmark to see if it puts itself at 1050mhz there, it should do it in games but they actually doesn't stress the card fully. Run a benchmark like 3Dmark Firestrike and look at your maximum clock after that, also try compare the GPU score if your card is still shows a max of 908mhz, comparing to other R9 290X's and you would know if your card is performing worse or the same.

Ok, I was downloading £Dmark Demo off steam and i quicikly checked gpu-z in the backround which said my card went up to 1050mhz for around 10 seconds, And the memory went up to 1350mhz, But i wasnt playing a game or anything, Just browsing on the 3Dmark website.

Yes 3Dmark Firestrike Demo at some default settings, you can download it over steam.
They give you a GPU, CPU and combined score and let's you compare all three with other people on their site.

Can't reply on anymore questions, I'll be gone for the day. Have a nice one ;)

That looks pretty normal i would say, i still think it's because the requirements aren't high enough now you tell me that you're on a 900p monitor. Your card is probably acting like it should and won't hit 1050mhz so often because you're only on 900p (much easier for the gpu to render).

So you shouldn't worry at all! ;)

It doesnt matter anymore, I decided to RMA the card and return it, Getting a 780 Ti instead.
Thank you anyway. :)

Why did you RMA it? Did it break down? Also, I hope you are upgrading your monitor to at least something with 1080p because a 780 Ti is extremely overkill for 900p. A GTX 760 could max out games at 60 FPS in 900p.

Yeah im gonna get a new monitor soon, I know its overkill for 900p. I decided to RMA it since It was my birthday yesterday and i got some money which allowed me to get a 780 TI.
